Time is the service
We never double-book a chair. The hour you reserve is yours from the consultation to the final mirror — no overlap, no triage, no clock-watching.
Maren & Co. — Volume IV — The House
One founder, one small room, and a quiet conviction that beauty work should be unhurried.
Founded 2015 · Nashville, TNI trained in London on too many heads in too little time, and I left certain of one thing: the work I was proud of always happened when no one was rushing me. So in 2015 I opened a room with six chairs and a rule we still keep — one client, all the attention.
Maren & Co. is appointment-only because the alternative is a waiting room, and a waiting room is a promise you can't keep. We'd rather book you a fortnight out and give you the morning you came for.
Theo runs our skin room with a steady, sceptical hand, and Ines can do things with extensions and curl that still surprise me. Three of us, on purpose. You'll know our names; we'll know your hair.
We never double-book a chair. The hour you reserve is yours from the consultation to the final mirror — no overlap, no triage, no clock-watching.
If the colour you want will wreck your hair, we'll say so and offer the version that won't. We'd rather lose the booking than your trust.
A short menu we can execute beautifully beats a long one we can't. The same goes for your routine — we are great fans of subtraction.
We design for week six, not just day one. Good work should still look intentional long after you've left the chair.
Maren opens a single-chair studio on 11th Ave with a borrowed mirror and a fully booked first month — entirely by word of mouth.
Theo joins and the back room becomes an esthetics studio. We stop sending clients elsewhere for their skin.
Ines comes on for extensions and texture. We settle on the bench we have now — small, and staying that way.
We begin closing the studio for whole-party weddings — the calmest, most particular work we do, and some of our favourite.
Whether it's a first cut or a tenth, the chair is the same and so is the welcome. Tell us when suits.
